The 2025 Annual Membership Meeting of the Missouri Hunting Heritage Federation, Inc. will be on Sunday, March 30th in the Conservation Room at the Independence Bass Pro Shop. All MHHF Members are invited to attend and bring their friends and family. Seating is limited, so please RSVP by sending an email with a head count to execdir@mhhf.us. The event will go from 1:00-2:30pm with hors d'ouevres from Hereford House served at 12:00pm. The guest speaker for this event will be announced soon. The MHHF Membership will be voting on At-Large Board Members and Officers. We will also be recognizing individual MHHF volunteers for their dedication and support of our mission.

We will be kicking off our Membership Raffle for 2025 at this event! The MHHF Board of Directors have donated several items including a scoped Ruger 10/22. To receive tickets, MHHF members must recruit new members to join the Federation. New members can also enter by inviting additional people to join. We will announce more details and more prizes for this raffle at the Annual Membership meeting.

You don't want to miss this event and to share in our achievements from the past year! Door prizes will also be awarded, so bring a friend and join us. Remember, this is our membership meeting, so please be sure your membership with us is up to date.

The first Hunter Ed Instructor/Mentor Rendezvous was held ten years ago, Sunday, April 19, 2015.

MHHF Hunter Ed Instructors and Mentors gathered to share their experiences executing the MHHF Clinic Model. The goal was to learn from each other, identify best practices and explore ways to improve the clinic model for everyone involved. The information was captured, approved by the MHHF Board of directors and added to the Clinic Manual providing a new section: “Best Practices.”

This year we are holding this Rendezvous the morning before our Annual MHHF Membership Meeting, March 30th at 10:30 AM.

The focus this year will be on the various roles available to MHHF members to support our clinics.

Though each chapter may handle the organization of duties slightly differently from others, the tasks are universal. The role of Clinic Organizer, Base Camp Coordinator, Range Safety Officer, Mentor and others are clearly outlined in the MHHF Clinic Procedure manual while other supporting roles have not been formally documented.

This year we will briefly review this “second tier” of support and share ideas as to what they are, the different approaches to addressing the needs and provide clinic organizers a document outling those roles to assist in the recruitment of members to actively engage in the production of the clinic.

We are asking our seasoned members to actively contribute to the discussion.

This will be a lively, fun and informative conversation.

Heavy hors d’ouevres from Hereford House will be served immediately following the Rendezvous at 12:00 - 1:00 pm and prior to the MHHF Annual Membership meeting. Please join us for both sessions!

If you’re interested in mentoring new hunters with MHHF, please join us for an orientation on Thursday, January 23rd in Raymore.

This is also a great meeting for a guest to come learn about MHHF and see if you’re interested in becoming a member. We have volunteer opportunities in many areas, even outside hunting, including photo/video and social media help, cooking/serving meals, shooting instruction, and of course, mentoring new youth hunters.

The Strategic Planning meeting for 2025 and the Q4 2024 Board Meeting will take place on January 18 at the Lake of the Ozarks, location TBD. MHHF Members are welcome to attend the Q4 Board Meeting as guests, please notify the Executive Director or President if you plan to attend: execdir@mhhf.us. Please also contact us if you have ideas or suggestions for the 2025 Strategic Plan.

The Board of Directors will meet for their third quarter board meeting on October 17th, 2024 in Kansas City, MO. Board meetings are open to all MHHF members but please RSVP with the Executive Director as soon as possible as the meeting will be at a restaurant. Join us for our 14th Annual Shoot for the Future sporting clays tournament on August 31 at 9:00am at Powder Creek Shooting Park in Lenexa, KS. The event will feature prizes, a silent auction, and a raffle!

Gather a team or shoot as an individual. Prizes will be awarded on the Lewis Class system and all scoring will be individual scores. Special prizes will also be awarded to youth shooters. The MHHF Board of Directors will meet to discuss the first half of 2024, updates, and plans for the rest of the year including clinics, expansion, events, and fundraising. The Missouri Hunting Heritage Federation, Inc. is hosting our 2024 Annual Membership Meeting on March 24th, from 2-4pm in the Conservation Room at the Bass Pro Shops in Independence, MO. This event will feature a guest speaker from the Missouri Department of Conservation. We will have door prizes and hors d’oeuvres catered by Hereford House. The Board of Directors will share updates to MHHF coming for 2024, the membership will vote on officers and board members, and we will recognize our 2024 award recipients. This will be a great time to reconnect with friends and meet new members of our organization, sharing our passion for the great outdoors.

This event is for MHHF members and their guests. If you would like to attend, and are not a member or guest of a member, you can join MHHF online or become a member at the event.

We are hosting a New Mentor Orientation on Monday, October 16, 2023 at from 6-8pm in Raymore. This orientation is required for those who are interested in mentoring new youth hunters with our organization. You can find our clinic schedule here: www.mhhf.us/clinics.

If you are not yet a member of MHHF or have not filled out our MOU, we will have those to fill out at the event. If you are not a member of MHHF, you can join at this meeting. The annual membership for the remainder of 2023 is $20 and the lifetime membership for the remainder of 2023 is $250, both will be increasing on January 1, 2024.

Please feel free to invite other people who might be interested in mentoring with us! This is a great opportunity for them learn about MHHF and see how we introduce youth and their families to the outdoors through hunting and shooting sports.

Thank you to our current members for directly helping us train new youth hunters and their families in the best and safest way possible!  If you volunteer in any aspect at our MHHF clinics whether that be mentoring, instructing, or volunteering, the MHHF Board of Directors invites you to attend our Rendezvous, Thursday, August 24th from 5-8pm in Garden City, MO.  You're welcome to bring your shotgun and ammo and break some clays from 5-6pm and we'll start eating at 6pm.  We would like to get your perspective on our clinic model and if you have any suggestions on improvements.  We will provide burgers and brats, condiments, water, and a couple sides.  Please bring a desert or a side to share and bring your own beverage.
